thefuturewasnow is maintained by Fernando Diaz, a journalist at the Democrat and Chronicle, a daily newspaper in Rochester, New York. I currently work nights, covering everything from crime and courts to the circus and spelling bees. I can write articles, take photographs, shoot and edit videos and produce audio clips. This site is an attempt to catalog some of my work and function as a globally accessible resource on deadline.
